A wonderful coincidence happened in the first part of 2016. About the time that Sawdust Charley was to be inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame, a bootleg tape surfaced which turned out to be one of the earliest Sawdust Charley recordings. This DOUBLE CD is available only here.

As of 2020, three of the members, Johnnie, Mike and Harry have departed this plane of existence for the great beyond. They are sorely missed, and we wish them well on their journeys.
Bootleg Recording
What I especially like about this recording is how the crowd keeps getting rowdier and rowdier as the night progresses. I wish he had let the tape play a little longer after each song so we could hear more of the crowd.
Sadly, there are a few glitches on these songs, but as you can see below in the description from the bootlegger we're lucky to have ANYTHING AT ALL!
