Prior to Ratzlaff joining the band Sawdust Charley, Jamey Ratzlaff and Gary Hopper performed as a duo in the '70s, playing original compositions in Wichita, Kansas under their middle names, "Edward & Neal". The prolific Hopper would pen the lyrics and Ratzlaff would put them to music. Late in 1991, Ratzlaff found some inspiration, pulled out the huge backlog of Hopper lyrics and finished off 11 songs. Using the power of a MIDI keyboard workstation and a 4-track recorder, he created this sonic masterpiece.
